After I register my listing HOW LONG does it take before I can see it ?We activate your listing as soon as possible. Usually this is within a few minutes, but our stated target is within 1 business day or less. (If the listing is chargeable, we must have received payment confirmation from Paypal).
I want to register under a CATEGORY that is not shown - can I add a new category ?
New Categories can only be added by us. However we are happy do this - as long as the new category is appropriate. You should email us with details of your request.
Can I CHANGE my details once I have registered a listing ?
Yes, if you login with your username and password you can change any of your details. The only exception is your main category. if you wish to change this you will need to contact us.
There are already lots of therapists listed under my category. If I list 'free' will I always be at the bottom ?
No. The order in which the entries are displayed is entirely random, so each time someone looks at the list it will be in a different order. The only exception is for Enhanced, Premium and Sponsor entries, which will always appear first.
Are there any DEMOS that I can look at to see all of the features ?
Yes, if you select the 'browse' search option and look in the category "zxy -DEMO ONLY- xyz", you will see demo listings of all of the various types available. Click on the 'full page' option of the premium listing to see downloadable .pdf, video and Powerpoint presentations.
Do I have to put a LINK to healers.co.uk from my website ?
Yes, if you have a free Basic entry this is part of your agreement. If you do not have a website then this requirement is waived, but healers.co.uk run regular checks and may delete listings that do not comply. The code for the links can be found by clicking here.
Can I put my email address and website in the Description part of the listing ?
No, you cannot put website URLs, email addresses or telephone numbers in the Description area. Healers.co.uk periodically run a check and remove listings that do not adhere to this rule.
I have an Enhanced entry but want to upgrade to a Sponsor. I have already paid for the next 9 months Enhanced - is this credited to me when I upgrade ?
Yes. You have to order the Sponsor upgrade and pay the full amount by Paypal first. We will then calculate the difference for every full month unused portion of the previous listing, and process a refund to your Paypal account. If you do not have a Paypal account, email us with your request and we will instruct you of the amount to pay, and how to do this.
I have listings under three categories. If I upgrade to e.g. Premium, does this upgrade apply to all of my listings?
No, an upgrage will apply only to a single listing in a single category. You will need to upgrade each listing if you want them all at Premium level.
I have an Enhanced entry but am no longer working as a therapist. Can I cancel and get a refund ?
Most work is taken up configuring the entry initially. We therefore do not give refunds for cancelled accounts, except e.g. in the case of payments which have been duplicated in error.
I am paying quarterly for an Enhanced listing with your automatic subscription payment through Paypal. Is there a minimum period that this subscription has to run ?
No. You can cancel your Paypal automated subscription at any time. Your Enhanced listing will then run until the paid period expires, at which time your listing will revert to Basic level. There is no minimum subscription period with any type of listing.
Searching for a Practitioner
How do I get to the healer's own webpage ?You can only do this if they have an entry other than BASIC. Click on the image or logo on the left of the entry. You can also find website links if you click on the "full page" option (Sponsor and Premium only).
I do not live in a city. How do I find a practitioner in my County rather than by city ?
Just put the name of your County in the Keyword search, and all practitioners in that county will be displayed.
I am looking for a therapist who can help with anxiety problems. Is it possible to search by illness or condition ?
Yes, in your case if you put 'anxiety' in the Keyword search, all practitioners who have mentioned this in their descriptive text will be displayed.
How can I email a practitioner ?
If the practitioner only has a Basic entry, this is not possible. In this case you have only the address and telephone number available. However if the therapist has upgraded their listing, you should click on the email link, which will provide you with an online form. Anything sent by this method is completely secure and private between you and the therapist.
Is there any assurance that a therapist is bona-fide ?
Healers.co.uk is only a directory, and as such cannot vouch for the qualifications, abilities or honesty of any practitioner listed. It is therefore important for you to verify these things. Any practitioner shown to be unlawful or dishonest will be removed.
